Sandwich Shoppe

JUSTIFICATION

When creating the Sandwich Shoppe menu, many aspects needed to be taken into consideration. One of the most vital was the fact that the client wanted the menu to be legible and simple. To achieve this my font is clean, and I only added one image per page. The images I used on the front panel are all aligned, and the inside panel images alternate, creating a visually pleasing and balanced piece. I used borders to keep the menu looking neat and fresh.

Although the client wanted the menu to be clear and simple, the client also asked for creativity; therefore, I chose to use object styles to enhance the display of the images throughout the menu. The feather tool made the pictures appear almost free floating and light, which to me symbolized delicacy, an important piece when building a project, as well as for eating, making the feather's usage ideal.

The client also asked to include the "special feature" option on some part of the menu; I decided the back was best. Since this location is isolated when the menu is closed, customers' eyes are brought to the feature. Knowing feature items are usually emphasized to the customer, I felt this location on the menu would be ideal for sales as well. The client said the feature would change, and gave no information regarding the current special, but requested there be a space for the face of the celebrity that the feature item would be named after. I chose Frank Sinatra simply to illustrate what the special feature picture would appear like and filled the item description with placeholder text.

Also, because of the menus simplicity, it will be easy for printing, which was another request of the client. This lack of great detail on the menu, will allow for a smaller printing cost, which will be desirable for the Hollywood Sandwich Shoppe as well.
